Once a lazy but well-liked Nunh, Da'rasko was brutally defeated in a one sided battle against a challenging Tia. Shunned and humiliated, he left his tribe not long after the beating and travelled to Limsa Lominsa in search of a new life. He immediately ran into trouble with the Yellowjackets, thanks to brazen thievery of goods for a pair of downtrodden children. Sensing a kindred spirit, he was bailed out and taken in by the Rogue's Guild.He started to learn the ropes after joining the guild, both in combat and social interaction. While not the most gracious bunch, Da'rasko and the rogues got along like family, and he took on their values as his own. But Da'rasko feared ostracism from his peers so greatly that it made him skittish and distrusting. He facilitated his own undoing by abandoning the guild and Limsa in a panic after an incident he was sure would incriminate him.He would not finally start to come into his own until arriving in Coerthas. With an old sword from a frozen corpse, Da'rasko took on the role of a Dark Knight, unearthing a guardian within himself to help him finally take back control of his life.He was immediately mauled by a dragon.Da'rasko is the epitome of sopping wet pathetic men. Barely an adult when he went out on his own, he's been living through a series of fuck ups and bad luck ever since. He is walls of apathy closed in around a desperately lonely man. Skilled with a blade and not much else, more than anything he just wants to be loved.

  • He's kind of a miserable looking guy, always looking dishevelled and tired, with tattered and dirty clothes and armour

  • He has incredibly bad luck, which he takes with resigned acceptance, though how much of it is self-perpetuated is unclear

  • He acts quite gruff and rude to strangers, and can be snarky and dismissive to his comrades, but he's completely non malicious and even selfless to the point of poor self preservation

  • He has a bobtail and folded ears. Due to the condition that gives him his ears, he experiences frequent minor joint pain

  • Sports many scars, most notably on the left side of his face where he was swiped by a dragon in Coerthas, resulting in the loss of his left eye. He's mildly self conscious of it and usually keeps it covered with masks or unkempt hair

  • Smokes and drinks a bit too much and doesn't have the best diet

  • He hides it from others as much as possible, but he can be caught talking to himself on occasion. It becomes more noticeable when he's especially upset or flustered, sometimes straight up yelling at an unseen party during battle. He completely brushes off any inquiry about this (it's just the DRK in his head no worries)

Da'rasko is based off of a gijinka-turned-OC of Dark Meta Knight from Kirby, you can look at him like an FF14 AU version of that character. He is my cringefail blorbo of all time. His story from ARR to Endwalker and beyond is tied with 8 other OCs between my partner and I.
